Miller Blasts Wilder for Avoiding Canelo-Crawford Fight

Jarrell Miller voices his discontent with former WBC heavyweight titleholder Deontay Wilder’s choice to decline the opportunity to substitute for Jared Anderson after Anderson’s withdrawal from their scheduled bout on September 13th.

Miller had entertained the idea of Wilder accepting a one-month notice to engage in a fight with him, featured as part of the undercard for Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Wilder’s Economic Independence

Wilder’s estimated financial standing is around $30 million. Consequently, it’s reasonable to understand his capacity to reject what would likely be a relatively modest payment for confronting Miller on the Canelo-Crawford undercard. Miller’s perception differs from Wilder’s viewpoint.

“Deontay Wilder is a coward. They extended the fight invitation to him, but Deontay responded by saying that I engage in excessive trash talk and that I’m disrespectful,” Jarrell Miller expressed on social media, voicing his complaint about Deontay Wilder’s rejection of an offer to replace Anderson on short notice and fight him next month, September 13th.

There exist pugilists prepared to step in and face Miller, but Turki Alalshikh would need to provide them with substantial remuneration. Some of these potential opponents, such as Richard Torrez Jr., would pose significant challenges for Miller. It’s uncertain whether he’d be inclined to fight one of the emerging talents.

Jarrell Miller Challenges Wilder

“You’re the biggest coward I know. We are warriors. If you genuinely took offense to something I said, enter the ring and strike me in the face,” Miller stated regarding Wilder. “Enter the ring and attempt to knock me out. However, he’s unwilling to participate in a fight on the Terence Crawford undercard because I’m excessively disrespectful and engage in trash talk.”

Miller’s focus should be on having his management engage with Turki to secure a formidable opponent such as Lenier Pero, Torrez Jr., Frank Sanchez, or Bakhodir Jalalov for a match.

“These heavyweights are cowards. Aside from myself and Andy Ruiz, who would readily accept a fight against anyone, the American heavyweight scene is declining. American promoters seem disinterested in American fighters, while the UK is currently thriving in this aspect,” Miller remarked.
