With T1 commencing their journey at the League of Legends Worlds 2025 through a successful match against Invictus Gaming (IG) during the Play-In Stage, the initial Swiss Stage confrontations are now determined.

The competition, hosted in China, presents an array of intriguing best-of-one (BO1) encounters, including a face-off between an LPL and LCK representative, alongside two potentially challenging matches for FlyQuest and 100 Thieves.

Following a 3-1 victory over China’s fourth-seeded IG, T1 is set to begin their Swiss Stage journey with a match against LTA 2025 champions FlyQuest. Concurrently, 100 Thieves, participating in their final League of Legends esports tournament, will encounter LPL Split 3 champion Bilibili Gaming (BLG).

Notably, the latter match-up features BLG’s jungler, Zhao ‘Shadow’ Zhiqiang, marking a unique situation as he is the first European to secure an LPL championship.

A particularly captivating match from the Swiss Stage round one pairings is the encounter between LPL and LCK teams, with second seeds Anyone’s Legends and Hanwha Life Esports (HLE) facing off on the opening day. T1 is striving for a historic three consecutive World Championship titles, while HLE’s Choi ‘Zeus’ Woo-je, formerly a top laner for T1, is also aiming to accomplish this achievement.

For European League of Legends supporters, the draw appears to be favorable for their three teams, though they still face formidable opponents. G2 Esports is slated to compete against LPL’s Top Esports, while Fnatic will battle with LCP Season Finals victor CTBC Flying Oyster. MKOI also anticipates a tough challenge, as the Spanish team prepares to clash with LCK third seed, KT Rolster.
