NBA Franchise All-Time Power Rankings.

Back on November 1st, 1946, the New York Knickerbockers were victorious against the Toronto Huskies, marking the inaugural contest in National Basketball Association history.

In the time since, the NBA has witnessed the unfolding of more than 50,000 games. The cumulative score totals over 10 million points, with over 5 million rebounds secured, and over 2 million assists executed. It amounts to a considerable amount of basketball action.

Certain teams have flourished, while others have encountered greater challenges. Some franchises have attained significant success in a relatively brief timeframe, whereas others have struggled to achieve notable milestones despite participating in numerous seasons. What follows is a structured list assessing the performance of each of the 30 teams.

When putting together these rankings, I have taken into consideration two separate aspects. Firstly, the overall achievements. Secondly, the rate at which those achievements occurred.

Qualifying for the playoffs six times could be seen as positive or negative. If a team has existed for four decades, that record might be disappointing. However, if a team was established for only six years, it would be seen as impressive. Both the length of time and number of appearances were viewed as equally valuable.

Consideration was given to the amount of winning seasons they attained, divisional titles secured, playoff berths earned, conference championships won, and championship rings collected. These accomplishments were each assigned a value, with the subsequent standings presented below.
