Newcastle Re-sign Former Player to Revitalize Midfield Amid Winless Streak.

The brief tenure of Cameron Hutchinson with Saracens has concluded, leading to the former Scotland U20 representative promptly rejoining Newcastle Red Bulls.

The 27-year-old participated in four matches for Saracens, having been signed as injury cover in August, including the North London team’s Gallagher PREM victory over the Red Bulls at the beginning of the current season.

Huthinson dedicated two seasons to Newcastle after transferring from Edinburgh in the summer of 2023, accumulating 23 appearances during that period, before his move to the StoneX.

Hutchison, born in Birmingham, has also previously competed for the French club Stade Nicois.

“I am genuinely enthusiastic about re-affiliating with Newcastle as we enter this revitalized phase under Red Bull’s guidance,” he stated.

“I have deeply appreciated my experience at Saracens and I am profoundly thankful for the opportunity they extended to me over these past five months. I have endeavored to absorb as much as possible from that setting during my time there and intend to implement those lessons upon my return to Newcastle Red Bulls.

“We are fully aware of the challenges confronting us this season, but I am eagerly anticipating the chance to once again represent this club and its loyal fans, striving to deliver the triumph they warrant.”

Newcastle head coach Alan Dickens remarked: “Cam will reinforce our midfield and contribute to providing the forward momentum necessary to ignite our offensive capabilities.

“He is a determined runner who we know intimately from his prior two seasons with us, and it will be excellent to reintegrate him as we aim to steer our season in a favorable trajectory.”
