NFL Week 4 Injuries: Hill, Nabers Suffer Knee Injuries.

The fourth week is now completed, presenting a wealth of information to analyze.

A prominent event on Sunday was the inaugural professional start for quarterback Jaxson Dart, who was selected as the New York Giants’ starting player prior to the Week 4 game against the Los Angeles Chargers, which moved Russell Wilson to a reserve role. Dart and the Giants achieved their initial victory of the 2025 season, defeating the previously undefeated Chargers with a score of 21-18 at MetLife Stadium.

However, the celebratory mood was short-lived when standout wide receiver Malik Nabers was taken off the field due to a knee injury. The Giants announced his removal from the game, and on Monday, they confirmed that he had suffered a torn ACL, ending his season prematurely.

Unfortunately, this was not the only significant knee injury that occurred during the week. During the “Monday Night Football” game between the Jets and the Dolphins, All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill sustained a severe knee injury that necessitated hospitalization. Initial reports indicated that Hill had dislocated his knee during the play, but subsequent reports on Tuesday morning revealed that he had also suffered multiple torn ligaments, including a torn ACL.

Another significant injury to monitor is that of two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson, who exited Sunday’s lopsided defeat against the Chiefs with a hamstring injury during the third quarter. Head coach John Harbaugh stated on Monday that Jackson would have been unable to return, even if the game had been closely contested. He refrained from providing a prognosis or timeline for Jackson’s return, informing reporters that an update would be provided later in the week.

The Ravens are currently facing a significant number of injuries to their defensive unit, including injuries to key players such as defensive tackle Justin Madubuike (neck/out for season), linebacker Kyle Van Noy (hamstring), Roquan Smith (hamstring), and cornerbacks Marlon Humphrey (calf) and Nate Wiggins (elbow). The potential prolonged absence of Jackson could be a major setback for a team that has already started the season with a 1-3 record.

Among the coaches whose positions are being closely monitored are Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan, whose team has begun the season with a 0-4 record with rookie quarterback Cam Ward starting, as well as the New Orleans Saints and New York Jets, all of whom will be aiming for their first victories in Week 5.
