Greetings and welcome to the assessments for Week 9!

The National Football League initiated the eleventh month of the year with what could be described as the most unpredictable week of the current season.

  • The defensive unit of the Steelers finally demonstrated their capabilities, achieving five turnovers in their triumph over the Colts with a score of 27-20.
  • The offensive squad of the Bengals orchestrated a remarkable recovery in the closing moments against the Bears, only to be undermined by a historically poor defensive performance that conceded a 58-yard touchdown pass, securing the win for their opponents with a mere 17 seconds remaining.
  • Cam Little, the kicker for the Jaguars, established a new league benchmark with a successful 68-yard field goal during their victory against the Raiders.
  • Bo Nix spearheaded yet another electrifying fourth-quarter resurgence for the Denver Broncos, resulting in an 18-15 victory over the Houston Texans.
  • The Carolina Panthers ventured into Green Bay and delivered a surprising defeat to the Packers, with a final score of 16-13.
  • Josh Allen triumphed over Patrick Mahomes with an almost flawless display of passing accuracy during Buffalo’s 28-21 victory over Kansas City.
  • Sam Darnold showcased a flawless first-half performance against the Commanders, completing all 16 of his pass attempts for 284 yards and achieving four touchdowns within the initial two quarters of Seattle’s 38-14 victory. Darnold stands alone as the sole quarterback in the past 35 years to maintain a 100% pass completion rate, accumulating a minimum of 250 passing yards and four touchdown passes within a single half.
  • The concluding game of Week 9 presented an unforeseen result in Dallas, as the Cardinals emerged victorious against the Cowboys with a score of 27-17. This occasion marked only the second instance in the last four seasons that the Cowboys have suffered a defeat as the favored team on their home turf, reducing their record to 18-2 within this specific scenario.

The week was filled with unexpected outcomes, and we intend to distribute our own set of evaluations by providing grades for each game, commencing with Arizona’s noteworthy victory over Dallas.
