ONIC ID has advanced significantly towards securing a spot in the Knockout Stage of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) M7 World Championship.
The fifth day of the Swiss Stage presented a make-or-break situation for the six participating teams, where defeat would mean immediate expulsion from the competition.
ONIC Advances Towards Knockout Phase
ONIC was at the heart of the narrative. As Indonesia’s top seed, playing from their home region, the team was widely anticipated to contend for the championship. Yet, their journey through the Swiss Stage proved more challenging than expected.
After unexpected defeats to Yangon and Team Spirit, ONIC’s performance has been inconsistent, even though they had an outstanding season, including a fourth-place finish at the Mid-Season Cup 2025.
Nevertheless, the team appears to have recovered its rhythm, delivering a powerful showing against EVIL from Singapore.
ONIC concluded both contests in under 13 minutes. During the first game, they maintained control from start to finish, achieving a decisive win with a 12,000 gold advantage.
Conversely, the second game featured the team eliminating EVIL entirely during the initial Lord encounter, establishing a substantial gold buffer. This ultimately resulted in a comfortable series triumph for ONIC.
The squad currently stands a single game away from securing entry into the M7 Knockout Stage.
Team Zone and Black Sentence Esports Knocked Out
In the remaining two pivotal contests, CFU Gaming competed against Team Zone, a roster that advanced from the Wildcard phase, concurrently with CG Esports‘ match against Black Sentence Esports (BSE).

CG Esports, representing Malaysia, a rapidly developing hub for MLBB esports poised to implement franchising by 2026, also encountered difficulties during the Swiss Stage. Facing imminent elimination, the team’s initial challenge was against BSE, the LATAM champions.
Although CG exerted control in the first game, BSE staged a recovery, forcing the series into a decisive third match.
The concluding game remained tightly contested, with both squads exchanging eliminations and strategic points. Nevertheless, a late-stage team battle resulted in all but one BSE member being taken down, enabling CG to clinch the series.
Ultimately, CFU prevented Mongolia’s Team Zone from securing a place in the Knockout Stage with a 2-0 victory, showcasing a flawless display in the opening game.
The second game, conversely, proved to be more fiercely contested. Despite CFU establishing an initial advantage, Team Zone mounted a resilient challenge. They successfully claimed the second and third Lords, nearly orchestrating a complete turnaround. Yet, CFU eventually prevailed by securing a fourth Lord, dismantling the opponent’s stronghold.
