The Gaming Company Blizzard has communicated that four Overwatch League (OWL) character customizations will be purchasable for a short duration in Overwatch 2.
The OWL Legacy Collection Package will include character appearances and graphics for D.Va, Reinhardt, Zarya and Widowmaker until September 23rd, 2025.
These are the premium-level character customizations included in the OWL Legacy collection:
- Widowmaker – Angel of Death
- Reinhardt – 2020 Atlantic All-Stars
- D.Va – 2020 Pacific All-Stars
- Zarya – Rock Climber
The package is available on Battle.net and within the in-game digital marketplace, and can be acquired for 4,500 Overwatch credits (~$39.99/£29.59).
Each individual appearance was initially made available back when the OWL was still an active league before it was sunsetted in 2023. For instance, the Angel of Death appearance was made available alongside the June Joust in-game celebration back in 2021. The Reinhardt and the D.Va appearances were originally made available as part of the 2020 All-Stars collection from September 29th to October 12th, signifying major OWL divisions at that point.
Overwatch Competitive Appearances in 2025
Overwatch has remained committed to releasing competitive-themed character customizations, re-releasing past OWL favorites while launching fresh cosmetics to help support the current Overwatch Champions Series (OWCS).
Around July, The Gaming Company Blizzard released nine Team-Packs modeled after certified teams involved in the OWCS. These collaboration packages allowed fans to directly support some of their most liked teams by obtaining character customization bundles for 2,500 Overwatch credits (~$24.95/ £20.98).
There have also been multiple OWL character customization releases in 2025. The DPS Legacy bundle featured character customizations for Mei, Bastion, and Soldier: 76, that allude to former events such as the 2021 May Melee Tournament and the OWL Countdown Cup.
OWCS in 2025
Fans can anticipate seeing some of these character customizations during OWCS Stage 3, in which the best teams within their respective divisions compete to qualify for the World Finals. The worldwide tournament is scheduled to be held at DreamHack Stockholm 2025, from November 26th to 30th.
The competitive scene has already had an action-heavy season to date. Key events consist of Crazy Raccoon winning Champions Clash in Hangzhou, China, to Team Falcons winning the Mid Season Championship during the Esports World Cup
