The esports entity, BetBoom Team, has revealed the appointment of Artem ‘Pioneer‘ Saveliev to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

This change comes after Alexander ‘Dyrem‘ Sevirinov, the previous Chief Executive Officer, relinquished his role, having guided BetBoom Team since 2023.

Prior to this, Pioneer functioned as the Head of Esports, Influence, and Media, a capacity he occupied starting in 2021.

Via a declaration on X (formerly Twitter), the newly appointed Chief Executive remarked: “I might claim effortless victories at TI and playoff appearances in every Major. Yet, I won’t offer assurances of the impossible; considerable effort lies before us. We will progress towards our objectives in an organized, methodical fashion.”

“The squad currently possesses a robust groundwork, and my responsibility is to facilitate its continued expansion and unleash its complete capabilities for the upcoming season!”

Concurrently with commending Pioneer’s advancement, the organization acknowledged the accomplishments of his forerunner, Dyrem, throughout his two-year leadership as CEO. In a subsequent update, BetBoom Team pointed out their Dota 2 squad’s fourth-place standing at The International 2025; the PUBG group’s triumph at the PUBG Global Series (PGS) 8, and the Counter-Strike 2 ensemble’s successful entry into the BLAST.tv Austin Major.

“My gratitude extends to all who have contributed to BetBoom Team in any capacity,” Dyrem conveyed. “And to every individual I had the opportunity to collaborate with. This period constituted a significant segment of my career trajectory, yet occasionally different routes must be taken. I sincerely hope for BetBoom Team’s continued prosperity and development ahead!”

What Lies Ahead for BetBoom Team?

BetBoom Team presently manages competitive squads across three distinct categories: Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2, and PUBG.

The Dota 2 contingent of the organization concluded their 2025 competitive year by competing in DreamLeague Season 27, though they were eliminated during the Group Stage due to not advancing to the top eight. As 2026 begins, it is yet uncertain if this team will secure spots in DreamLeague Season 28, PGL Wallachia Season 7, and ESL One Birmingham.

Regarding PUBG, BetBoom Team achieved an 11th-place finish among 33 global competitors at the PUBG Global Championship, which marked the season’s pinnacle tournament. Nevertheless, whether the squad will receive invitations to participate in PUBG Global Series 11 and 12 in March 2026 is still undetermined.

Lastly, the organization’s Counter-Strike 2 roster recently took part in the B-Tier CCT Season 3 European Series, securing an eighth position among 24 participating teams. The squad is set to commence its 2026 competitive journey by entering the BLAST Bounty Winter 2026 Closed Qualifier, with aspirations of advancing to the LAN Finals.
