The Cleveland Browns and their running back, Quinshon Judkins, have officially reached an agreement on a contract, as announced by the team on Saturday.

According to information from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Judkins has formalized a four-year agreement that is fully guaranteed, totaling $11.4 million.
Judkins, one of the Browns’ two selections in the second round of the 2025 draft, is currently not slated to participate in Week 1’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals. However, he may be available for the subsequent week’s contest against the Baltimore Ravens.
Legal matters had previously delayed Judkins from signing his rookie contract following an arrest in July. The Broward State Attorney’s Office announced last month that the former Ohio State player would not be formally charged with misdemeanor battery, as prosecutors opted not to proceed given elements like “delayed reporting of the supposed event to law enforcement, the absence of surveillance footage, and a lack of impartial witnesses.”
Judkins was accused of striking a woman in the chin/lip region, arm, and thigh at an airport. Prosecutors determined against proceeding with the case, citing the delayed reporting, absence of video documentation, and lack of individuals who witnessed the incident.
Even though Judkins will not be facing criminal charges, the NFL maintains the option to impose disciplinary measures on the running back.
Browns owner Jimmy Haslam mentioned to reporters last month that he felt “carefully optimistic” about Judkins eventually signing with and playing for the team. He also stated that he was allowing the legal process to run its course and described the Browns’ ongoing association with claims of domestic abuse as “incredibly irritating.”
The prior year, Judkins was a key contributor in the Buckeyes’ national championship victory, scoring three touchdowns in their final game against Notre Dame. Having transferred to Ohio State from Ole Miss before the 2024 season, he led the squad with a total of 1,060 rushing yards.
