The Indianapolis Colts and offensive tackle Bernhard Raimann have come to an understanding on a four-year, $100 million contract augmentation, which encompasses $60 million in assured funds, according to information provided by NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo. Raimann was nearing the culmination of his initial rookie contract.
Selected in the third round of the 2022 draft from Central Michigan University and originating from Vienna, Austria, Raimann has matured into a dependable and significant member of the Indianapolis offensive line. As per Pro Football Focus’ assessments, he was ranked as the eighth-finest tackle in the NFL during the previous season, achieving outstanding rankings in both pass protection and run blocking, while conceding only four sacks across 471 pass-blocking plays. His PFF assessment has seen improvement throughout each of his three seasons in the NFL.
With an annual value of $25 million, Raimann’s contract enhancement positions him alongside Laremy Tunsil, sharing the designation for the fourth-most lucrative left tackle contract currently, only surpassed by Rashawn Slater — who secured his four-year, $114 million contract augmentation just a day prior to Raimann — Trent Williams, and Christian Darrisaw.

Raimann, aged 27, will be of utmost importance for the Colts in the approaching season. Indianapolis is presently undergoing a competition for the quarterback position between Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones, following the departure of their longtime prominent center, Ryan Kelly, and right guard, Will Fries, to the Minnesota Vikings during the free agency period.
Raimann was absent for three games in the previous year — two due to a knee ailment and one attributed to a concussion — and has not yet participated in a complete 17-game season.
The Colts achieved an 8-9 record in the previous season, with their most recent appearance in the playoffs occurring in 2020.
