Numerous reports indicate that Puka Nacua, a wide receiver for the Los Angeles Rams, has voluntarily sought treatment at a holistic wellness center following a sequence of accusations regarding his conduct outside of football.
His legal representative, Levi McCathern, verified this development through a public statement disseminated by NFL analyst Ian Rapoport.
This disclosure follows the revelation of a legal complaint lodged against Nacua by an individual claiming he uttered antisemitic remarks during an alleged event on December 31st. She characterized these remarks as the “initial phase in what developed into an intensifying pattern of offensive, vulgar, menacing, aggressive, and badgering behavior.” Additionally, she contends that Nacua bit her on the shoulder, resulting in a visible injury.
The individual who made the accusations had initially sought a protective order, but this request has subsequently been retracted.
Nacua’s legal counsel refuted the allegation that his client uttered the antisemitic comment, instead describing the biting incident as mere “roughhousing.”
McCathern confirmed Nacua’s admission to the holistic treatment center occurred before the lawsuit was filed in March. Nevertheless, he conceded to the Los Angeles Post that “the collective narratives you all have published undeniably played a part.”
“His mood is excellent. I believe he is performing exceptionally well. I am particularly enthusiastic about his prospects for the upcoming season. Despite his previous accomplishments, I anticipate he will surpass them in the future,” Nacua’s lawyer further stated.
Nacua is approaching the conclusion of his inaugural contract in 2026 and is poised to secure an unprecedented contract renewal, following a recent season where he achieved 1,715 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. The financial benchmark for such agreements was recently recalibrated by Jaxon Smith-Njigba, a wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks, who secured a four-year extension valued at $168.6 million earlier in the current month.
