Ryder Cup Saturday: Live Updates, Leaderboard, Europe Leads

The opening of Day 1 wasn’t what Ryder Cup Team USA and their strategist, Keegan Bradley, were hoping for. And the squad required a different outcome to the commencement of Day 2.

Day 1 concluded with the European side ahead by a margin of 5.5-2.5, due to the reliable performance of Tommy Fleetwood, the excellent play of Jon Rahm, and the inspiring presence of Rory McIlroy.

And thus far, Day 2 has largely followed a similar pattern. Fleetwood and McIlroy triumphed over Collin Morikawa and Harris English, prompting questions for Team USA’s strategist, Keegan Bradley, regarding the decision to maintain the same pairing despite their previous loss. Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton sustained their impressive form. Also, the world’s top-ranked player, Scottie Scheffler, remains without a victory for Team USA.

As the morning foursomes sessions wrap up, Europe is leading with a score of 8.5-3.5 following a 3-1 performance in the morning. More critically, Europe now needs only 5.5 more points to secure the Ryder Cup.
