S8UL Esports has revealed a groundbreaking FGC Discovery Initiative in India, designed to nurture emerging talent within the Tekken 8 and Street Fighter 6 communities.

Spanning from January to June 2026, this program will support six participants in refining their competitive prowess and cultivating their individual brands through expert guidance, financial backing, and various beneficial resources.

Based upon results obtained during nationwide qualifying rounds and the finals, two Tekken 8 specialists and four Street Fighter 6 combatants will earn a spot in the Discovery Initiative. Interested parties are invited to register through the official online portal.

Throughout this six-month developmental stage, participants will gain access to S8UL’s advanced gaming center, along with the following benefits:

  • Guidance from a dedicated and seasoned professional coach
  • Complete financial coverage for participation in a minimum of three international premier-level tournaments
  • Comprehensive travel assistance, which includes accommodation, transportation, and other related expenses.
  • A regular monthly allowance to cover living expenses
  • Full integration within S8UL’s established content generation frameworks

According to official statements, this all-encompassing approach is envisioned to function as a ‘nurturing ecosystem, committed to the sustained and holistic advancement of athletes’.

“The Indian fighting game scene possesses considerable untapped potential, but its players have infrequently been afforded an organized framework that fosters enduring progress,” noted Animesh Agarwal, Co-founder and CEO of S8UL Esports.

“This is more than a mere temporary endeavor for our team – it signifies the genesis of a continuing commitment to strengthen the foundations of fighting games in India and to provide our athletes with an equitable chance to contend on a global scale.”

Bolstering Indian FGC Prowess

Through the introduction of this new developmental initiative, S8UL aspires to further solidify India’s standing within the international FGC community.

The esports organization has become a prominent and respected contributor to both its regional competitive gaming sector and the wider worldwide scene. Following its historic selection as the inaugural Indian team to join the Esports World Cup’s Partner Programme, S8UL expanded its presence in the FGC arena with interests in Fatal Fury and Tekken 8.

In spite of challenges such as limited financial support and constraints from game publishers, the fighting game competitive scene has endured amidst the constantly evolving landscape of competitive gaming. Furthermore, the scene has witnessed increased interest from emerging esports organizations and the incorporation of new titles, including Riot Games’ upcoming release, 2XKO.
