The game Teamfight Tactics has revealed plans to hold a TFT Open competition in Las Vegas, Nevada, during 2026.
This competitive gathering for the auto battler game is making its comeback to Las Vegas, a city that last welcomed it in 2023 for the very first TFT Open event.
First disclosed on December 11th, 2025, the TFT Vegas Open signifies a return to North American soil, following previous Open events held in Macau in 2024 and Paris in 2025. This competition maintains its open format, offering every participant an opportunity to qualify for the primary tournament and contend for the coveted Tactician’s Belt.
Beyond its confirmed reappearance in Las Vegas, specific details regarding the event’s location, structure, and total prize money are still pending. The 2023 Vegas Open was hosted at the MGM Grand Conference Center, where 512 contenders vied for a segment of the $304,900 (approximately £227,958) prize fund.
In 2023, Ryan ‘milala‘ Lai claimed both the Tactician’s Belt and a $100,000 (roughly £74,763) prize, a triumph that propelled him to further success in 2024, earning wins at the Remix Rumble: NA K/DA Cup and subsequently the Remix Rumble Championship.
This resumption of a North American host city, following TFT Open events in Asian and European territories, appears to validate a rotational strategy by Riot Games, mirroring their approach for the League of Legends World Championship. Should this pattern hold true, the 2027 TFT Open might very well return to Asia.
The 2025 TFT Paris Tournament
Prior to the focus shifting to the TFT Vegas Open scheduled for the upcoming year, current attention is centered on the TFT Paris Open, which runs from December 12th to 14th. Seven hundred sixty-eight contestants hailing from various global regions have converged upon the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, each vying for the opportunity to claim the Tactician’s Belt.
These 768 participants engage in four elimination stages to secure a spot in the ultimate showdown, known as the Final Lobby, where eight individuals will contend for the championship. The TFT Paris Open employs a Checkmate system. Competitors accumulating 20 points place their adversaries in a ‘check’ state, subsequently needing to clinch a game to achieve ‘checkmate’ and win.
Enthusiasts are able to follow the live competition via the official Teamfight Tactics Twitch broadcast.
