LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 21, 2025): The Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance is pleased to present its fourth annual Festive Donation Drive, scheduled from December 1st through December 31st, 2025. This initiative seeks to promote understanding of recognized Thoroughbred aftercare programs and to aid groups focused on assuring that retired Thoroughbreds experience a high standard of living following their competitive careers. Following the achievements of the prior year’s effort, which generated $240,000 for recognized aftercare services, this year’s endeavor seeks to further boost helpful results for Thoroughbreds in need.
“We are delighted to begin our Festive Donation Drive and support the remarkable contributions made daily by our 86 recognized groups,” stated Emily Dresen, Director of Funding & Events, Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance. “Each contribution received throughout our campaign is important and advances our capacity to deliver secure and honorable transitions for Thoroughbreds when they conclude their track careers. We are motivated by the enthusiasm and kindness of our matching benefactors and the sector’s cohesive dedication to caring for our equine competitors!”
Throughout the campaign, the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance will reveal fresh daily matching benefactors, encompassing notable figures within the horse racing world. Each benefactor will match every donation up to a predetermined amount for their specified day. Match benefactor announcements will be disseminated regularly through industry publications in addition to the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance’s online platform, social media outlets, and electronic mailing list. To remain updated and acquire campaign notifications, followers may subscribe to the mailing list here.
“Each Thoroughbred is entitled to a protected and fulfilling existence beyond the racetrack, and the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance facilitates that via its outstanding arrangement of recognized groups. Their efforts illustrate the profound admiration we collectively possess for these competitors who enrich our lives,” expressed Terry Finley, President and Founder, West Point Thoroughbreds. “Participate in reinforcing the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance’s Festive Donation Drive–assisting each horse in adapting to a rewarding new phase is an objective we can collectively endorse.”
Beginning December 1st, individuals eager to promote recognized aftercare initiatives through the Festive Donation Drive may access the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance platform to submit a donation, which will be matched by the daily benefactor. Donations of $50 or greater will also receive a complimentary 2026 Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance calendar, while quantities remain.
