BELLEAIR, Fla. — The granddaughter of former President Donald Trump will be making a slight detour on her pathway toward playing collegiate golf at the University of Miami; Kai Trump is scheduled to make her debut on the LPGA Tour next month.
Kai Trump was the recipient of a sponsor exemption on Tuesday to participate in The Annika at Pelican Golf Club, scheduled to take place Nov. 13-16. This event, positioned near the end of the LPGA schedule, is generally known to feature one of the most competitive groupings of players throughout the year, second only to the major championships.
“It has always been my ambition to compete against the very best players worldwide on the LPGA Tour,” Trump shared in an official statement. “This event will provide an unforgettable experience. I am excited about the prospect of meeting and competing with many of my golf heroes and role models as I embark on my LPGA Tour debut.”

Trump, who is the oldest child of Donald Trump Jr., is currently a senior student at the Benjamin School situated in Palm Beach County and has formally committed to playing for the Hurricanes in the coming year. She regularly participates in amateur golf tournaments both nationally through the American Junior Golf Association and locally within the state of Florida.
She presently holds the No. 461 position in the AJGA Girls ranking, having participated in three events so far this year.
Kai Trump has cultivated a substantial following of over 6 million individuals across her various social media accounts and has recently launched a brand focused on apparel and lifestyle, with the goal of empowering young women in the realm of sports.

The Annika has previously announced that WNBA personality Caitlin Clark will be making a return appearance to participate in the pro-am event for the second consecutive year; the pro-am event is scheduled to occur on Nov. 12.
Nelly Korda is the current reigning champion of the event.
