49ers WR Deebo Samuel Exits Seahawks Game with Hamstring Injury

Although the San Francisco 49ers lost another vital playmaker on offense, they managed to secure a win in Seattle.

During the second half of Sunday’s matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, wideout Deebo Samuel suffered a hamstring issue, which promptly sidelined him for the duration of the contest.

Samuel sustained the hurt in the third quarter while turning the corner on a first-down run, fumbling the football as he went down and lying motionless on the turf.

The scene caused immediate concern since the extent of Samuel’s injury was uncertain at first, though he ultimately got back on his feet and hobbled off.

However, he was visibly in distress while grabbing his right upper leg as he headed toward the bench, leading San Francisco to declare shortly after that a hamstring issue would keep him out.

Additionally, receiver Jacob Cowing sustained an ankle ailment during the action, leaving his availability to re-enter the game in doubt.

San Francisco ultimately prevailed, clinching a narrow 32-29 win.

San Francisco has faced relentless health troubles among its wideouts dating back to summer practices. First-string receiver Ricky Pearsall missed the year entirely following a surgical procedure to fix a torn PCL before the season began, while impressive newcomer De’Zhaun Stribling faces about a 10-week recovery period due to an ankle problem sustained during the season opener against the Los Angeles Rams in Australia.

Furthermore, Demarcus Robinson was placed on injured reserve after spraining his high ankle during a Week 2 triumph over the Miami Dolphins, joining Christian Kirk, who has remained on IR since prior to the season owing to a persistent calf issue.

Meanwhile, top target Mike Evans continues to produce effectively despite dealing with a rib issue incurred in Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals, hauling in seven receptions for 113 yards along with a touchdown on Sunday.

Despite their depleted roster, the 49ers took the field on Sunday with an undefeated 4-0 record, extending it to 5-0 even as they face the challenge of navigating upcoming games with a battered offensive lineup.
