Allen (sporting a record of 24 victories, 7 losses, 2 draws, and 19 wins by knockout) celebrated a significant achievement last May in London by triumphing over Johnny Fisher, a promising talent from Matchroom, with a knockout in the fifth round. This was a second meeting, following their initial clash in December of the prior year in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Fisher was controversially declared the winner by split decision in their first encounter, although many spectators believed Allen was the rightful victor.
Makhmudov (with a record of 20 wins, 2 losses, and 19 knockouts) saw his undefeated streak come to an end against Agit Kabayel in a surprising upset in December of 2023. The Russian boxer bounced back with a victory in May of 2024, but faced another setback when he was stopped by Guido Vianello in August of 2024 in Quebec. After a knockout win against Ricardo Brown in June, Makhmudov is now positioned for another significant opportunity in the heavyweight division.
The evening’s supporting bout showcases Junaid Bostan (10 wins, 0 losses, 1 draw, and 8 knockouts) against Bilal Fawaz (9 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw, and 3 knockouts), reigniting their intense rivalry in a rematch for the English super welterweight title.
