The upcoming StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 has publicly recognised Blacklyte as its official furniture provider for the Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) competition.
The specified brand is expected to supply its specialized gaming furniture to all designated areas throughout the Major, most notably on-stage player zones and behind-the-scenes training locations.
Based in Toronto, furniture designer Blacklyte has specialized in crafting furniture—including chairs and desks—specifically catered to gamers and professional esports athletes since 2021. Following suit with comparable brands in the gaming chair sector, such as DXRacer and Secretlab, Blacklyte has formed several partnerships with esports figures to improve the visibility of its brand and products within the esports community.
Among its partners are esports organizations like Fnatic, Team Spirit, and Team Liquid. Furthermore, Blacklyte unveiled unique limited-edition chair designs for the BLAST.tv Austin Major that occurred in June.
The Blacklyte PlayZone will be available at the upcoming Budapest Major, granting those present the chance to personally experience Blacklyte items, take part in giveaway contests, and gain access to limited-edition branded goods.
Viacheslav Shcherbakov, the Head of Sales & Partnerships at Starladder, expressed his view on the newly-formed partnership, noting: “Blacklyte’s focus on excellent quality, design, and player comfort positions them as an outstanding partner for our Major. We are excited about presenting their product selection during the climax of the CS2 tournament season.”
The Budapest Major is Approaching Rapidly
StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, the second CS2 Major this year, is planned from November 24 to December 14.
From the pool of 32 qualified teams, eight teams were issued direct invitations to Stages 2 and 3 of the tournament, respectively, in accordance to their VRS rating. In the meantime, the remaining sixteen have to initially succeed in the Swiss Stage.
Furthermore, the tournament in Budapest marks the first time a CS Major will employ a best-of-five (BO5) structure for its final match.
Leading up to the Budapest Major, StarLadder has also announced collaborations with ZOWIE, the monitor partner for the event, and Corsair, which is known for their gaming peripheral products. Furthermore, fans can join in honoring the players and teams participating with in-game stickers and engaging in Pick’Em Challenges.
