The present year presented considerable obstacles for Boulter.
Her victories amounted to just 14 main-draw matches at the Tour level, and she recently concluded a three-year coaching relationship with Biljana Veselinovic, a period during which she secured three WTA titles.
“Biljana is an outstanding coach, and also an exceptionally kind individual, which complicates the matter,” Boulter commented.
“I believe the timing was simply right. We both felt that it was the appropriate course of action. We’ve accomplished a great deal together.
“I will still be communicating with her extensively; I consider her an integral part of my team regardless.”
The pursuit of a new coach is well underway, with a focus on finding someone possessing substantial high-level experience, as Boulter maintains her belief in her potential to reach the top 20 in the rankings.
“Moving forward with a new coach, I am very certain that this individual will have significant expertise in the strategies required to ascend to the highest echelons of this sport,” she stated.
“I have previously achieved a ranking as high as 23, and I am confident in my ability to return to that level. I don’t believe my overall performance has diminished; rather, I believe that consistency needs to be improved.
“My ambition is not to be ranked 50, 40, 30, or even 20 – I have already attained those positions. The objective is to break into the top 20.”
