The South African fly-half, Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu, will miss Saturday’s United Rugby Championship fixture against the Lions due to a groin ailment.

The prominent Springbok player represents one of two alterations to the backline that dominated La Rochelle in the Investec Champions Cup last week, with Ruhan Nel also sidelined by a calf complaint.

Jurie Matthee is set to assume the starting fly-half position, while Wandisile Simelane will feature at outside centre, wearing the number 13 jersey.

John Dobson has implemented slightly more adjustments to the forward pack, introducing three changes from the scrum that secured victory against Ronan O’Gara’s squad.

Neethling Fouché is slated to make another start, marking his centennial appearance for the Stormers.

“Our last game at DHL Stadium was in early October, and this is a significant South African derby, promising an excellent day for all attendees,” Dobson commented.

“While we’ve faced some injury setbacks this week, we are confident that every player chosen will perform exceptionally.”

“Brok Harris, Frans Malherbe, and Steven Kitshoff are the only other props to have achieved 100 caps for the DHL Stormers. Neethling shares a close bond with all three and unequivocally merits his standing among them as one of the most committed and fervent individuals to have worn the club’s colours.”
