Jackson Doubtful for Saturday Packers-Ravens; Love, Willis Questionable.

The Baltimore Ravens, currently vying for a playoff spot, have received additional discouraging news.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson is highly unlikely to play in Saturday’s match against the Green Bay Packers due to a back ailment that prevented him from participating in the latter half of their previous defeat to the New England Patriots.

The team confirmed Jackson’s questionable status on Thursday, noting his absence from practice for three consecutive days following the injury. Consequently, Tyler Huntley is poised to step in as the starting quarterback for the second time this season when they face Green Bay.

Baltimore’s Slim Playoff Prospects

Heading into Saturday’s contest, the 7-8 Ravens face improbable odds of reaching the postseason, yet a possibility remains. Their qualification hinges on securing victories in their final two matchups against the Packers and Steelers. Additionally, the 9-6 Steelers must suffer defeats in their last two games against the Browns and the Ravens themselves for Baltimore to claim the AFC North division championship. There is no route for the Ravens to secure a wild-card spot.

Should the Steelers triumph over the Browns on Sunday, the Ravens’ playoff hopes will be extinguished, rendering their final regular-season game against Pittsburgh meaningless. Therefore, the Ravens will undoubtedly approach Saturday’s game with maximum intensity and stakes.

Defeating an energized Packers squad, which holds a slight chance of clinching the NFC North, will be challenging without Jackson. However, Green Bay is also contending with uncertainties at the quarterback position.

Packers’ Quarterback Concerns: Jordan Love, Malik Willis Uncertain

Jordan Love is still undergoing concussion protocol following a head injury suffered during last week’s defeat against the Chicago Bears. Green Bay designated him as questionable on Thursday, requiring him to clear the protocol before being eligible to compete against Baltimore.

His substitute, Malik Willis, is likewise questionable, dealing with an unspecified ailment and a right shoulder issue. Willis rejoined practice partially on Thursday, having been absent from Wednesday’s session due to his illness.

Should neither signal-caller be available, the Packers will probably have to promote Clayton Tune from their practice squad to start against the Ravens. Tune is a professional in his third year, having attempted 23 NFL passes in total, with only two since the 2023 season, and no playing time in 2025.

The 9-5-1 Packers are currently poised to secure a spot in the playoffs and possess a remote chance of surpassing the 11-4 Chicago Bears for the NFC North championship, provided they win all their remaining games and the Bears drop their last two contests against the San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions. Green Bay’s season will conclude with a game against the Minnesota Vikings following their encounter with the Ravens.
