Esports event organizer BLAST has announced that the BLAST Rivals Season 2 competition is scheduled to occur in Hong Kong, running from November 8th through November 15th.

Following its previous hosting of BLAST Rivals Fall earlier in November, the Counter-Strike 2 tournament is set to revisit the nation. This championship will involve eight teams vying for a cumulative prize fund of $1 million (approximately £744,425), which will be divided into a $650,000 (around £483,876) portion for the clubs and a $350,000 (roughly £260,548) portion for the players.

This represents an additional significant achievement for the host city, given that its 2025 iteration became the initial esports competition to be granted the ‘M’ mark designation. Such a status is typically conferred upon sports gatherings that substantially bolster Hong Kong’s global reputation.

This tournament stands as the second officially confirmed BLAST Rivals event on the 2026 schedule, with the concluding three days of playoff matches hosted at the AsiaWorld-Expo. Prior in the year, BLAST Rivals 2026 is scheduled to commence in Fort Worth, Texas, at the Dickies Arena, from April 29th through May 3rd.

The BLAST Rivals tournament in 2025 was clinched by FURIA, who defeated Team Falcons 3-1 in the championship match, securing their fourth title of the season. During that particular series, the competition registered a peak audience exceeding 1 million viewers, with an average viewership just above 250,000, based on information from Esports Charts. The teams finishing in the top four also included Team Vitality and paiN Gaming.

Participating Teams for BLAST Rivals Season 2 2026

Similar to the 2025 iteration, the roster of teams for BLAST Rivals Season 2 will be determined via VRS invitations issued prior to the event. The tournament will consider the worldwide rankings as they stand in October 2026.

The triumphant team will not only claim the significant portion of the prize fund but will additionally acquire two Frequent Flyers Points, usable for securing extra earnings from the $2 million (approximately £1.48 million) revenue-sharing initiative. In the previous year, Team Vitality was the highest earner, collecting $461,538 (around £343,580), with Team Spirit following at $423,077 (roughly £314,949), and G2 Esports at $230,769 (about £171,790).
