Fnatic revealed its separation from Danish Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) player Benjamin ‘blameF‘ Bremer before the start of the 2026 season.
In addition to confirming blameF’s exit, the esports organization based in the UK has brought on Pavle ‘Maden‘ Bošković to fill the role of their new entry fragger.
Fnatic disclosed that the addition of Maden aligns with “the system” the organization is developing to secure victories in upcoming competitions. The organization also stated that it recognized a requirement to transition to ‘a more assertive, entry-oriented, and aggressive rifler’ to succeed within the current Counter-Strike 2 meta.
Maden’s arrival comes after a seven-month period playing for Zero Tenacity, where he participated in various prominent Tier 2 and Tier 3 tournaments. Towards the end of December 2025, the rifler temporarily filled in for Ninjas in Pyjamas, securing a victory at the Roman Imperium Cup III.
“This move represents a strategic choice by our organization as we aim to regain momentum in the VRS competition,” stated Patrik Sättermon, co-owner of Fnatic. “While such decisions are always challenging, we are confident this alteration provides the squad with the optimal chance to advance, elevate our performance in 2026, and remain committed to the enduring framework we are constructing.”
Maden is set to play his inaugural match for Fnatic at the BLAST Bounty Season 1 2026 closed qualifiers, which commence on January 13th. Being the 18th seed, the squad will participate in the competition without a bounty.
BIG Acquires blameF
After blameF’s exit from Fnatic, the German esports entity Berlin International Gaming (BIG) brought in the player to serve as the captain for their CS2 lineup. Positioned 35th in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) for January, this transfer is intended to assist BIG in ascending the ranks and competing for direct invitations to top-tier tournaments.
This acquisition extends BIG’s substantial alterations to its team roster. The organization terminated its association with Can ‘kyuubii’ Ali on January 2nd, concluding his year-long service across both the primary and academy squads.
The article Fnatic separates from blameF, adds Maden to CS2 team initially surfaced on Esports Insider.
