Former West Ham and Chelsea boss Graham Potter has labeled one of his previous teams “dysfunctional” while replying to a user on Instagram.
Now in charge of the Swedish national squad, the tactician is working to restore his reputation following underwhelming stints at both Chelsea and West Ham United.
On Wednesday, Potter shared a photo of his pilates session on Instagram and took a swipe at one of his old employers in the comments section.

The English coach rose to prominence during a three-year tenure at Brighton, guiding the club to their record-best finish in the premier division in 2022.
He subsequently joined Chelsea, but his tenure lasted less than eight months before he was dismissed after suffering 11 defeats in 31 fixtures.
Following a hiatus of nearly two years from the dugout, Potter made his Premier League comeback by taking over at West Ham.
His return to the capital was even more short-lived, as he directed the Hammers only from January until September of 2025.
Under his guidance, the London side secured a 14th-place finish in the 2024/25 season, but he was relieved of his duties after the team fell to 19th place just five matches into the following campaign.
Currently guiding the Swedish national team, Potter managed to navigate them past the group stage in North America this summer, though they were eventually eliminated following a 3-0 loss to France, who were runners-up in the prior tournament.
The 51-year-old trainer uploaded a photo showcasing his pilates routine on Thursday afternoon, which led a social media user to mockingly comment: “Hopefully you are better at Pilates then you were a football manager.”
Potter shot back: “I’ll try not to do Pilates in a dysfunctional place and I will be ok,” accompanied by a bicep emoji.
While it remains uncertain which of his old teams he was targeting, West Ham suffered relegation during the same campaign he departed, and Chelsea struggled to a 10th-place finish last season, sitting a mere 13 points above the relegation positions.
Since the Englishman’s appointment, Chelsea have gone through eight different managers over a three-year span, with Xabi Alonso currently leading the team.
When another user remarked: “Didn’t mind the money though, did you?”, Potter candidly retorted: “absolutely not.”
Furthermore, in response to a West Ham supporter who claimed, “You got us relegated, you mug,” the coach simply posted a pair of laughing emojis.
