Emma Raducanu withdrew from her initial match against Camila Osorio at the Qatar Open, just two days following her defeat in the Transylvania Open final.
The top-ranked British player requested medical attention from the trainer to check her blood pressure after dropping her serve at the commencement of the third set; subsequently, with the score at 2-0 in the deciding set in favor of Colombia’s Osorio, she abandoned the contest.
Raducanu secured the opening set with a score of 6-2, but then lost the subsequent set 6-4.
On Saturday, the player, aged 23, competed in her initial final since her 2021 US Open success, yet was overcome in just over sixty minutes by Sorana Cirstea during the Transylvania Open.
During that particular match, Raducanu also underwent a blood pressure check, subsequently disclosing that her physical condition was impacted as she was “contending with a minor chest infection”.
