The New York Yankees enjoyed a day off from spring training on Monday. During this break, second baseman Jazz Chisholm took to the golf course and accomplished an exceptionally rare sporting achievement.

Chisholm shared a video showcasing him rapidly driving a golf cart along a fairway, detailing his belief that he had scored a hole-in-one on a 328-yard par 4. Upon reaching the hole, a person from a nearby yard verified that his initial shot had landed inside, prompting Chisholm to enthusiastically commemorate his “albatross.”

Like many widely shared social media incidents, a degree of doubt naturally arises; nevertheless, considering Chisholm’s video begins while he’s already in his cart (rather than at the tee prior to striking the ball), coupled with the spirited exchange with his golf companion and the spontaneous affirmation from an unfamiliar onlooker, the event strongly appears to be authentic.

Perhaps the most striking aspect of this achievement is Chisholm’s ability to drive a practice ball 328 yards from the tee. This was a visibly worn training sphere, not a specialized golf ball engineered for maximum carry, making the distance he achieved with it a clear demonstration of his significant raw power.

In baseball, this immense power was evident when he hit 31 home runs for the Yankees last year, yet achieving an exceptionally infrequent hole-in-one on a par-4 potentially surpasses any other remarkable athletic accomplishment Chisholm has made in his professional career.
