Kevin Vallejos aims to achieve his ambition of securing a UFC championship after his recent victory against Josh Emmett.
Before UFC Vegas 114, Vallejos had accumulated a winning streak of six consecutive fights. He faced a formidable opponent in Emmett. Vallejos impressively triumphed in the challenge. “El Chino” secured a technical knockout in the initial round, elevating his professional mixed martial arts standing to 18 wins and 1 loss, thereby stretching his series of victories to seven.
This marked a significant occasion for Vallejos, who subsequently communicated with the UFC’s social media division following the bout (sourced via MMAFighting).
“My purpose here is to make a lasting impression,” Vallejos declared in his interview conducted by the UFC after the fight. “I intend for my identity to be permanently inscribed within this weight class. My arrival is to accomplish objectives. To forge a reputation. To assert my presence definitively and contribute significantly to this division, ultimately becoming a champion.
“I wish to convey to everyone that I am rightful in my position here, rather than being perceived as merely a young, inexperienced newcomer potentially on an accelerated path to achievement.”
Vallejos has maintained an undefeated record since September 2023. His last defeat occurred during an event on Dana White’s Contender Series, where he suffered a unanimous decision loss to Jean Silva, who is now part of the UFC’s official lineup.
Vallejos subsequently returned to the Contender Series, where he halted Cam Teague in the initial round through a technical knockout. “El Chino” then debuted in the UFC in March 2025, securing a victory over Choi Seung-woo with yet another first-round stoppage.
This emerging talent from Argentina proceeded to overcome Danny Silva by unanimous decision, prior to executing a spectacular spinning backfist knockout against Giga Chikadze. Emmett represents the most prominent opponent Vallejos has vanquished thus far. His aspiration is to sustain this current surge of progress until he attains supremacy in the featherweight division.
