The Jacksonville Jaguars will be relocating (for a short period).
Following the scheduled nine-figure refurbishment of Jacksonville’s EverBank Stadium after the 2026 season, the Jaguars secured complete endorsement from NFL team owners to host their 2027 season’s home games at Orlando’s Camping World Stadium, as declared by the team on Tuesday.
Although the ongoing structural enhancements will render EverBank Stadium inaccessible for 2027, the team anticipates its completion and readiness for the 2028 season.
An excerpt from Jaguars proprietor Shad Khan’s statement within the team’s official declaration:
“For the Jacksonville Jaguars, there’s no more ideal arrangement than Orlando’s Camping World Stadium serving as our interim venue in 2027. This outcome was only possible with the backing of the league and its owners, who greenlit our vision two years prior for a modernized ‘Stadium of the Future’ in downtown Jacksonville. We particularly value the assistance provided by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers throughout this endeavor. Furthermore, we extend our thanks to the Florida Citrus Sports organization, whose efforts actualized this mutually beneficial resolution, including for Jaguars supporters located just a short drive from Jacksonville. This represents a victory for all involved.”
This agreement will establish a second professional football team in Central Florida, joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Camping World Stadium presently hosts the Citrus Bowl, Cure Bowl, and Pop-Tarts Bowl, yet it has never previously served as a venue for an NFL franchise.
Possessing an advertised football capacity of 60,219, Camping World Stadium will become the NFL’s most compact venue for the Jaguars. Soldier Field, home to the Chicago Bears, currently holds the distinction of being the smallest by capacity at 61,500.
