Rangers Score 8 Runs vs. Astros After No-Hitter in Historic Comeback

The Texas Rangers delivered an ideal counter-response after enduring a no-hitter.

Following the Houston Astros’ combined no-hitter performance on Monday, the Rangers exploded offensively right at the outset of Tuesday’s matchup. Playing at Globe Life Field, they accumulated eight runs in the initial inning. This powerful start provided a sufficient advantage for their 10-7 victory.

Elias Sports Bureau reports that the Rangers represent the first club in over 12 decades to tally at least eight runs in the opening frame after experiencing a game where they were no-hit. The previous instance of a team achieving this feat was the Chicago White Sox in 1905.

On Tuesday, the Rangers swiftly established a significant lead. The scoring commenced with Jake Burger’s two-run single hit to center field. Subsequently, Evan Carter connected for a two-run triple, and Ezequiel Duran followed by driving him home with a double.

To cap off the outburst, Joc Pederson emptied the bases with a powerful drive into right field. This marked his fourth long ball of the current season, and it extended the Rangers’ advantage to 8-0.
