Champion Wyndham Clark claimed a $3.6 million winner’s share, with the postseason events mirroring the payout structure of the PGA Tour’s no-cut signature tournaments. This marked Clark’s third victory of the year and the sixth of his PGA Tour career, cementing his status as a serious contender for the Player of the Year title—especially if he performs well at the upcoming Tour Championship.
Golfers were fighting for more than just the immediate prize money at the BMW Championship. They were also striving to improve their rankings in the FedEx Cup standings, which dictates their portion of the massive bonus pool distributed before the Tour Championship next week. That bonus pool features a $40 million total, with a $10 million reward designated for the top finisher.
Scottie Scheffler, the champion from the previous week, clinched the number-one position in the standings, locking in a $23 million bonus regardless of his final placement on Sunday at the BMW Championship. Meanwhile, Clark’s performance elevated him to the third position in the rankings.
