1.) Quickest batsman to achieve 15,000 ODI runs
The primary goal within Kohli’s sights is hitting the monumental 15,000-run mark in 50-over cricket.
Having amassed 14,941 runs across 302 ODI innings, he requires just 59 more to join Sachin Tendulkar as the only other player to cross this threshold.
More importantly, Kohli is positioned to become the fastest player to ever reach 15,000 ODI runs. While Tendulkar achieved this feat in 377 innings, Kohli has only played 302 innings so far.
2.) Highest run-scorer in ODIs on home soil
Yet another landmark held by Tendulkar is well within Kohli’s grasp.
Currently, Kohli has registered 6,867 ODI runs within India, compared to Tendulkar’s career total of 6,976 at home. This leaves Kohli just 110 runs away from taking the top spot for runs scored in domestic ODIs.
