According to HandofArsenal, William Saliba may be set to make his initial appearance of the season for Arsenal during Wednesday’s Champions League match against Slavia Prague.
The French defender might also play in the upcoming Premier League match against Hull City at the Emirates Stadium this weekend.
His participation will rely on how he performs in the forthcoming training sessions, as Arsenal is cautious about bringing him back too quickly.
Saliba has yet to take the field this season due to a back injury sustained over the summer, but both the player and the club decided against opting for surgery.
Despite his absence, Arsenal has managed quite well, maintaining clean sheets in eight of their first 14 matches across all competitions, with Gabriel Magalhães teaming up with summer acquisition Ezri Konsa.
The Gunners head to Prague with seven points from their first three Champions League matches and currently hold a three-point lead at the top of the Premier League following their 1-0 victory over Liverpool on Sunday.
