The safety position stands out as a primary worry.
In my view, this is easily the most significant question mark.
As previously mentioned, Andrew McCubbin is entering his sophomore season.
He is recovering from a year-ending ankle injury, and the team allowed Reed Blankenship to depart.
My belief is that they ought to have offered him a new contract, but regardless, he has moved on, and no replacement was selected in the draft.
Consequently, the responsibility now falls on Marcus Epps, a dependable veteran of many years.
Whether he remains capable of holding down a starting role as he ages is uncertain, but I suspect Howie Roseman still has moves left to make.
He will evaluate how things progress during training camp.
He will assess the performance of Marcus Epps during these practices.
If absolutely necessary, perhaps he can indeed line up as the starter.
However, the front office might still find it necessary to seek an external upgrade at safety.
Additionally, there is the risk that Andrew McCubbin has not fully recovered yet.
The next area of focus is the offensive line, though it is less of a competition between players.
Rather, it is an internal challenge for the unit.
Namely, can this front line rediscover its peak form and physical condition?
I believe they have plenty to prove to nobody but themselves.
They also have a newly appointed offensive line coach.
Watching the offensive line will be incredibly fascinating, given how heavily the rest of the offensive unit relies on them.
Their primary job is safeguarding Jalen Hurts and keeping him out of harm’s way.
Furthermore, they must pave the way for Saquon Barkley in the running game.
Rounding out the top three is the second wide receiver role; will the rookie Mekhi Lemon step up immediately to seize this opportunity?
Or will it be Dontayvion Wicks, who recently expressed how driven and eager he is after being traded—essentially discarded by Green Bay—especially now that he has reunited with his new offensive coordinator, Sean Mannion?
Will he manage to secure his position as the clear-cut number two target?
