Indy 500 2026 Qualifying Results

Latest News: Alex Palou has secured the leading starting spot for the 2026 Indianapolis 500 race.

The qualification process for the 110th edition of the Indianapolis 500 has commenced.

Inclement weather conditions led to the discontinuation of Saturday’s qualification session, compelling IndyCar to adopt a single-day structure. Due to this revised timetable, all participants in the qualifying rounds began their attempts at noon Eastern Time on Sunday, with each driver permitted one try to record a standard four-lap qualification speed.

The leading twelve competitors progressed to a subsequent elimination round, whereas the remaining contenders occupied positions 13 through 33 on the initial race lineup.

Subsequently, the top twelve individuals will compete for entry into the Firestone Fast Six, and the lowest-ranked six from that elimination stage will occupy positions 7 through 12 in the overall field.

Ultimately, the Firestone Fast Six participants will determine the first two rows, along with the pole position holder, for the 110th running of the Indianapolis 500.

Below is the preliminary lineup for the start, which will be finalized progressively over the course of the afternoon:
