Following a response to a possible break-in on Friday evening at LeBron James’ residence located in Brentwood, California, law enforcement authorities took an individual into custody, as verified by the LAPD to ESPN.
An unidentified individual was apprehended at the property and subsequently charged with stalking. Officers were dispatched to the residence at approximately 9:39 p.m. on Friday. While questioning officers, the suspect asserted that he was James’ son, as reported by TMZ. Spokespersons for James chose not to provide a statement regarding the event, ESPN noted.
After spending eight consecutive years playing for the Lakers in Los Angeles, James joined the 76ers during the offseason, dividing his residence between Philadelphia and New York City this year. Both James and the 76ers were located in Cleveland on Friday evening as the event unfolded at his Southern California residence. Philadelphia fell to the Cavaliers—a prior franchise of James—119-95 during an NBA Cup tournament matchup.
Throughout eight contests with Philadelphia in this, his 24th NBA campaign, James has posted averages of 14.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per game. The Sixers, having acquired marquee players James and Jaylen Brown ahead of the season, hold an 8-2 record across their opening 10 matches to secure the top spot in the Eastern Conference.
