Although City secured a narrow 1-0 victory in that game, the midfielder was subsequently left out of the squad for Tuesday’s European trip to Porto in the Champions League.

The talented Belgian winger, who played a pivotal role in City’s title charge during the final months of last season, is dealing with a calf issue picked up against Arsenal and is ruled out of the Manchester derby.
“I believe Jeremy still needs a few more days to recover,” Maresca explained, before offering a more positive update regarding O’Reilly’s availability.
“Nico is fully fit and ready,” the City manager declared straightforwardly. With almost his entire squad at his disposal, his focus shifted to the monumental clash at Old Trafford.
“This match is crucial on several fronts. Everyone understands the significance of a local derby, particularly in this city,” the manager remarked.
