Emma Raducanu’s season inauguration was postponed due to a bruised foot, an issue that concluded her 2025 campaign prematurely, and she has since been hampered in the preceding two months by a viral infection.
Katie Boulter has avoided physical harm this season, although she arrives at Roland Garros having recently been incapacitated by influenza, while French Open qualifier Toby Samuel has been securing wins on the Challenger tour after missing the majority of 2024 with an arm injury.
The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) conducts internal examinations of the ailments experienced by British players and states that no recurring trend is apparent.
Jones characterized the abundance of problems as simply “bad fortune,” noting the injuries prevalent across various circuits and implying that the condensed calendar is the fundamental issue.
“I don’t necessarily believe there’s one overriding cause for everything,” Boulter commented.
“Each individual is a distinct circumstance. It just seems that everything has transpired at the same moment.”
