Community conjecture suggests that the new champion may be Norra, the frequently mentioned mentor of Yuumi within Runeterra mythology. This is inferred from the promotional artwork and accompanying text, although Riot Games has not officially confirmed the character’s name.

Wild Rift presently features a roster of over 125 characters, all derived from League PC with adjustments made for mobile optimization. Riot Games’ choice to introduce an exclusive character tailored for mobile signifies their dedication to Wild Rift.

The announcement was timed to coincide with Wild Rift’s fifth anniversary, the game having initially launched globally on October 27th, 2020. The broadcast also unveiled a fresh anniversary theme, Miss This Life, performed by aespa’s NINGNING.
