Daniil Donchenko is gearing up for what he has labeled his significant UFC debut, scheduled for February 7th. This event will unfold at the upcoming UFC Fight Night, where Donchenko is set for a compelling welterweight bout against the long-standing promotion veteran, Alex Morono. Discussing his intentions for the UFC Vegas 113 showdown with Morono this Saturday, Donchenko articulated [as reported by Bowks Talking Bouts],
“I want to make my debut in a really exciting way and finish this fight in a brutal way, you know. Just enjoy my life after this debut and keep going forward.”
Alex Morono has been a fixture on the roster for ten years now, having competed in 23 UFC contests. When dissecting the intricacies of this particular pairing, Daniil Donchenko conveyed [via Bowks Talking Bouts],
“Yes. It’s exactly great opponent. Here I should just show, not only win, I should do it in exciting way. I should do it in a great way. It’s not only about win now and actually the Paramount era, it’s not only about wins, not only about fighting. It’s about like some stories about some action and I’m a fighter who want to put action inside the cage. I will definitely do this. For me, it’s the most important.”
“It’s not the win, it’s [an] amazing fight. It’s a lot of exchanges, damage of my opponent. I hope you will see some blood on his face. I don’t care if it will be on my face. It still looks good, you know. So I just want to give people this emotion, you know. Like these feelings. So, just cannot wait to show it. To open my door and just fight inside.”
Daniil Donchenko perceives heightened drive from UFC Vegas 113 conditions
Given the TUF champion’s enthusiasm surrounding the Paramount agreement, and this event marking both the inaugural UFC Fight Night of the year and the first under the fresh Meta Apex branding, Daniil Donchenko remarked [according to Bowks Talking Bouts],
“Yes, I’m the first in the first card to open Meta Apex for UFC Fight Nights. You know, before it was only Zufa, right, but not UFC. So I will be first. I will be in the first card in Meta Apex. We have some good bonuses, extra bonuses, and some extra motivation [laughs]. Now more people inside the Apex.”
“It will make me even more excited because I like when people scream, I like when people support, I like when people react, when I hit someone and people are like oh wow, I love it. So, now more people and I’ll be more excited.”
