The initial certificate celebrated his record for the highest number of goals in a single Champions League fixture, following his five-goal display during a resounding 7-0 victory against RB Leipzig in the round of 16 back in March 2023.
He shares this impressive benchmark with Lionel Messi, who registered five goals during Barcelona’s 7-1 victory over Bayer Leverkusen in March 2012, as well as Shakhtar Donetsk’s Luiz Adriano, who matched the achievement in a 7-0 defeat of BATE Borisov in October 2014.
His second accolade honored his achievements on the international stage, rewarding him with a certificate for being the top scorer in Nations League history.
With a total of 19 goals, he stands four strikes ahead of his nearest competitors, Portuguese icon Cristiano Ronaldo and Serbian frontman Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Furthermore, Haaland was presented with a certificate for the most goals netted in one Premier League campaign, after scoring 36 times during his remarkable 2022/23 debut year. This feat surpassed the previous benchmark of 34 goals set during a 42-game season by Andy Cole for Newcastle United and Alan Shearer for Blackburn Rovers back in 1993/94.
The Manchester City forward’s fourth record recognized him as the quickest individual to achieve 100 Premier League goals, securing the milestone in a mere 111 matches with a goal against Fulham last December, eclipsing Shearer’s prior record by 13 games.
Haaland, who is showcased on the front cover of the Guinness World Records Football Edition 2027, aims to launch another historic campaign this Sunday as Manchester City clash with Arsenal in the Community Shield.
