Friday Night Football
Who is on the broadcasting team for Arsenal vs Coventry City on Sky Sports?
The new top-flight campaign kicks off with a battle of title-winners, with reigning Premier League champions Arsenal hosting last season’s Championship victors Coventry City at the Emirates.
Dave Jones is the host for this one, and he’ll be joined by one of the most beloved players in the Gunners’ history, Ian Wright, a regular on the Stick To Football podcast, but only an occasional guest on Sky’s coverage.
In the commentary booth, Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher will provide expert analysis to kick off the new season with a stellar team.
Saturday Night Football
Our opening Saturday evening clash takes us to the Gtech Community Stadium, where Brentford—who narrowly missed out on European qualification last spring—go head-to-head with Oliver Glasner’s Nottingham Forest at 5:30pm.
Kelly Cates presents this one alongside a punditry pivot of Jamie Redknapp and Izzy Christiansen. Redknapp made 295 Premier League appearances over the years, while Christiansen is a former Women’s Super League champion.
The pre-match build-up starts at 5pm live from the Sky Sports headquarters in Osterley.
Super Sunday
An exciting pair of fixtures awaits as Super Sunday makes its return this weekend.
Brighton & Hove Albion take on Aston Villa, and Bournemouth visit Manchester City in the simultaneous 2pm kick-offs, followed by Newcastle United welcoming Liverpool to St. James’ Park at 4:30pm.
The broadcast starts at 1pm with presenter Mark Chapman, who is also scheduled to anchor the season’s opening Match of the Day on Saturday. He will be joined by former London 2012 Team GB colleagues Micah Richards and Daniel Sturridge, who collectively boast over 400 top-flight appearances and multiple league titles.
Providing analysis from the gantry, Gary Neville joins lead commentator Peter Drury to call the action.
Monday Night Football
The first Monday Night Football of the campaign brings us a West London derby, as Fulham host Chelsea, with both clubs currently managed by former Real Madrid bosses.
While the match starts at 8pm, the show begins much earlier at 6:30pm as Dave Jones anchors the premier MNF of the season. Alongside studio experts Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville, they will analyze all of the opening weekend’s drama. Following the final whistle, the duo will reveal their official predictions for the season—and you can map out your own using our interactive predictor tool.
