NFL Week 6 Grades: 49ers Hold Off Commanders, Colts Get ‘F’

Here are your Week 6 report cards!

It is clear the NFL campaign has taken an unexpected turn when the Cleveland Browns occupy the top spot in their division, following a thrilling rally against the Ravens. The AFC North experienced an erratic slate of games, quickly asserting itself as the league’s most competitive group.

  • Rallying during the final period, Cleveland edged Baltimore 13-10, a victory that propelled the Browns into prime position. Not since 12 YEARS ago have the Browns sat atop their division following the sixth week.
  • Pittsburgh engineered an impressive turnaround as well. Overcoming a 13-point deficit against Tampa Bay, the Steelers mounted a late charge to conquer the Buccaneers in extra time, marking their biggest final-quarter rally since 2002.
  • Regarding Baltimore, this defeat against Cleveland represented their 15th instance since 2020 of surrendering a final-frame advantage of seven or more points. That is the highest tally in the league over this timeframe, with no rival franchise even reaching double digits. Unbelievable.

To illustrate the fierce competition in the AFC North: Cincinnati (3-2) held a share of second rank prior to their Week 6 open date, yet Sunday’s drama dropped them directly to the basement.

Had Cincinnati competed in the NFC East, they would currently lead the group, but that is not their division. The NFC East has struggled significantly this season; following Washington’s defeat to San Francisco on Monday evening, it established an unprecedented NFL record where all four franchises played consecutive weekly contests without a single victory among them (0-6-2).

Time to dive into the Week 6 marks, beginning with Cleveland’s victory against Baltimore.
