Ben Whittaker Ignores Critics

Ben Whittaker has revealed he no longer concerns himself with external perceptions while progressing towards a global championship opportunity.

The undefeated light heavyweight contender addressed the intense examination he has encountered throughout his boxing career, particularly the responses following his initial bout against Liam Cameron. Instead of being preoccupied with critiques, Whittaker asserted his primary aim is to accomplish his personal objectives.

“Absolutely. Ultimately, I believe some people are momentary sensations, and careers can often reflect that transient nature,” Whittaker conveyed to Ring Magazine.

“Therefore, my sole purpose is to fulfill my ambitions, establish my enduring impact, and let circumstances unfold naturally. External views are inconsequential. Provided my inner circle perceives me genuinely and acknowledges my pursuit of desired accomplishments, nothing else holds significance.”

Whittaker further explained that his own assessment will ultimately depend on his ring achievements, not on the public’s responses.

“Consequently, if I depart with global championships and financial rewards, I’m content for others to grumble amongst themselves.”

The pugilist, aged 27, is scheduled to compete again on June 27, squaring off against Popeye Rivera in Brooklyn, New York, marking his debut professional contest on American soil.

This upcoming performance signifies a further stage in Whittaker’s progression as he aims to advance towards significant bouts within the light heavyweight division. Despite ongoing discussions regarding prospective adversaries, Whittaker has firmly stated that external chatter no longer influences his choices.

His principal focus remains directed towards securing wins and aspiring for global championship belts.
