B2B wagering solutions provider Data.Bet has introduced brief cryptocurrency and commodity forecasting markets for its partners to enhance its current competitive gaming wagering vertical.

These new options enable bettors to speculate on the upward or downward movement of digital asset prices, including Bitcoin and Ethereum, over brief durations. Furthermore, participants can place stakes on the price fluctuations of physical assets like gold and crude oil. Five distinct resolution intervals are available: five minutes, a quarter of an hour, one hour, four hours, and a full day.

“The creation of Prediction Markets aims to provide betting brands with a rapid, continuous product that operates entirely outside of traditional athletic schedules,” explained Rostyslav Likhtin, Head of Product for DATA.BET, via a media statement.

“We are accelerating transaction speeds, simplifying the user interface, and streamlining integration, and this represents just the initial phase of our development plans.”

Forecasting Options Serve as an Addition to Traditional Sports Rather Than a Substitute

Although Data.Bet originally debuted its forecasting services in April, its efforts have primarily targeted non-athletic areas until now. The provider regards this feature as an accessory to its core gaming portfolio, which heavily emphasizes competitive video game betting.

“By developing this as an independent business unit, rather than combining athletic, competitive gaming, and simulated sports events into a single bucket, we guarantee a straightforward product framework and market placement for bookmakers and technology partners,” remarked Chief Executive Officer Yurii Berest.

In-Play Video Game Wagering Fuels Revenue Growth for Data.Bet

The financial performance of Data.Bet has seen a significant boost lately, propelled by its competitive gaming options, especially real-time live betting. During the opening quarter of this fiscal year, the company’s earnings surged twofold, while wagering volume in the esports segment expanded by 70%.

A major driver of this expansion was the shift toward real-time wagering. The firm highlighted that during the Esports World Cup, in-play wagers accounted for more than 70% of all bets placed.

These rapid cryptocurrency prediction options function similarly to live game events, such as predicting the next in-game elimination or the victor of an upcoming map.

“Because these brief cycles resolve in a matter of minutes rather than over several months, they supply Prediction Markets with a swift, iterative betting cadence to complement long-term economic or political forecasts,” stated the organization. “This gives sportsbook operators the ability to present more wagering options in one user session, completely detached from the calendar of physical sports.”

In a parallel development, rival gaming-centric sportsbook provider BETBY introduced its SlotBets feature this week. This novel layout aims to transform competitive gaming wagers into a slot-machine-style experience, likewise aiming to sustain high levels of player involvement throughout their sessions.

Rapidly Resolving Verticals Witness Massive Growth on Forecasting Platforms

The primary categories dominating forecasting exchanges are athletic competitions alongside rapid-turnaround crypto and commodity options. A study published by Gambling Insider indicated that athletic events and highly brief contracts together made up more than 95% of the total trading volume on the Kalshi platform in August.

Platforms like Polymarket and Kalshi first introduced these micro-duration options during the previous year. Specifically on Kalshi, trading volume for quarter-hour Bitcoin contracts reached $643 million during April, before skyrocketing to in excess of $4 billion by July.

When factoring in all available digital currencies, these fifteen-minute prediction options amassed a combined volume of $4.69 billion in July, representing upwards of 75% of all crypto-related trading on the platform.

The growth of live betting options on sports has similarly generated immense engagement. Major tournaments, including the Esports World Cup and Dota 2’s The International, generated unprecedented volumes of trading activity across both Kalshi and Polymarket.

A significant portion of this active trading is conducted by automated programs that quickly capture arbitrage opportunities to optimize yields, according to research conducted by Predictbook.

Even though traditional betting sites normally restrict the use of automated software, forecasting platforms are motivated to welcome high volumes of transactions from any participant. Consequently, DraftKings also introduced rapid-duration digital currency options to its own forecasting exchange during the previous month.
