In a bid to expand its competitive presence across Western Europe, PUBG MOBILE recently secured a collaboration with G2 Esports and introduced a new ambassador initiative, naming German influencer Janicka Gaming as its initial ‘dedicated ambassador’ for the region.
Janička has long been a familiar face to the European PUBG MOBILE scene, having participated in the game’s partner program prior to stepping into this ambassador role for its esports division. She has cultivated a dedicated following centered on humor and gameplay, and she still regularly runs competitive lobbies on the official German TikTok accounts for PUBG MOBILE.
On the competitive front, Janička broadcasted the 2024 PMSE Finals and has previously crafted content centered on the European Series. This formal agreement solidifies their cooperation, with G2 and PUBG MOBILE Esports supplying extra backing and tools for watch parties, dedicated tournament coverage, and educational guides designed to make the intricate esports ecosystem more accessible to casual players.
We recently sat down with G2 Esports Chief Executive Officer Alban Dechelotte to talk about how influencers can help boost Europe’s mobile esports market, which remains significantly behind Asia’s highly developed scene. Janička’s appointment, alongside the broader rollout of this ambassador initiative, is expected to play a crucial role in achieving this goal.
Esports Insider caught up with Janička to discuss the implications of her new ambassadorship on her content creation, the reasons why talented mobile gamers often shy away from competitive play, how creators can foster grassroots development, and the potential downsides of being tightly linked with a major esports club and game publisher.

Transitioning from PUBG MOBILE Partner to Inaugural Western European Ambassador
ESI: First of all, congratulations! Being named the “First dedicated ambassador for Western Europe” is quite an achievement. What significance does this title hold for you personally? What are your new duties compared to your previous work as a content creator within the partner program?
Janicka Gaming: Many thanks, and I appreciate you taking the time to speak with me. It is a true privilege to act as an official Esports ambassador representing PUBG MOBILE across Western Europe.
My role as an ambassador involves bridging the gap between everyday players and the professional esports landscape. In the past, I mostly shared entertaining gameplay highlights, relatable gaming memes, and funny experiences. Going forward, I look forward to emphasizing competitive content, including brief instructional videos, live watch parties for major tournaments, and esports-focused broadcasts. I want to demonstrate to our community the heights they can reach in competitive play, showcase how exciting esports can be, and encourage more Western European gamers to explore this side of the title.
ESI: In terms of gameplay, competitive events, or creative storytelling, what options are open to you now that were unavailable before this collaboration?
Janička: This alliance allows me to offer much stronger backing to my audience. The teams at G2 and PUBG MOBILE are incredibly supportive of my creative output, and I am very thankful for the doors this has opened.
They supply me with in-game currency (“Unknown Cash”) and merchandise giveaways for my followers, and crucially, they assist me with high-level performance data for my videos and streams. Additionally, they collaborate with me on creative concepts for competitive content, helping me design a long-term plan to optimize my viewership. This frees me up to concentrate on production and raise the bar for my video editing.
This backing, combined with my position as ambassador, empowers me to directly shape and share compelling narratives within the game. My viewers are the driving force behind my content, and this official role gives me a unique platform to engage with the broader competitive community so we can all share in the excitement of esports together.
Supporting Up-and-Coming Competitors on Their Journey
ESI: Did your own journey involve a local grassroots circuit, or was your entry into content creation entirely distinct from the pathway the PMCO aims to establish? What does the gap between what players expect and what they face tell you about the needs of young competitors?
Janička: Prior to my appointment as the esports ambassador for the region, I regularly ran weekly local tournament lobbies on the official Western European and German PUBG MOBILE TikTok channels—something I still do today.
Additionally, I broadcasted the PMSE Finals in 2024 and hosted warmup streams for the 2023 European Series. These activities naturally allowed me to gather valuable experience in the regional competitive ecosystem, but this official partnership will elevate both my expertise and the scope of my work.
To sustain the game’s growth in Western Europe, aspiring players require clearer, more detailed information regarding tournaments like the PMCO, which is precisely the kind of clarity I aim to bring.
I have observed that many players simply do not know how to sign up or participate in major events. A persistent myth remains that competitive gaming is exclusively for top-tier professionals, but that is not the case. In the initial weeks of our collaboration, we successfully guided community members through the signup process, proving that tournaments like the PMCO are designed precisely for players of their level.
ESI: What is the main barrier that causes talented amateur players to walk away instead of striving to reach the professional ranks?
Janička: It primarily comes down to a lack of confidence and a misunderstanding of how the esports scene operates. I encounter players all the time who can effortlessly pull off a 1v4 victory but still convince themselves they lack the skill to compete. The PMCO is the perfect arena to challenge those self-doubts and foster self-assurance. As regional awareness of these amateur events increases, I hope more competitors take the plunge. I am confident there are undiscovered champions out there just waiting for their moment.
The Value of Direct Investment in Content Creators
ESI: Allocating resources directly to creators rather than focusing entirely on leagues or franchises represents a distinct strategy in modern esports. From your point of view, what unique benefits does PUBG MOBILE receive from you that a standard team sponsorship cannot offer?
Janička: Direct support for creators offers a far more sustainable path for expanding the esports community. While professional organizations are vital for the scene’s health, creators have the unique ability to connect with everyday gamers who might not otherwise pay attention to tournaments.
Having spent years building my audience, I have a direct line to what the community feels, wants, and expects. By partnering with G2 and PUBG MOBILE, I hope to demystify the professional scene and make it highly entertaining for novices and veterans alike. Our goal is to lower the entry barrier and inspire more people to sign up for competitive play.
ESI: Do you experience any conflict between being a creator—where your main draw is entertainment and personal authenticity—and serving as an ambassador tasked with advocating for a corporate brand? Where do you encounter friction? Does aligning closely with the publisher of the game you showcase risk compromising your credibility with your viewers?
Janička: Initially, I was concerned that my ambassador duties might clash with my typical style of content, but those worries turned out to be unfounded. Neither G2 nor the publisher has any desire to alter my personality or my content. The partnership is purely focused on equipping me to produce more esports coverage, which is a direction I genuinely enjoy.
I now have the opportunity to engage a broader audience and increase my reach. Furthermore, collaborating with G2’s professional management team allows me to elevate the overall quality and delivery of my work. This does not mean I will compromise my style; my audience will still get the same genuine, entertaining content they have always expected from me.
ESI: What is currently missing from Western European PUBG MOBILE esports coverage that your viewers are eager to see?
Janička: The issue isn’t a lack of information or news updates. Instead, it is that many casual players simply have different interests and have not yet discovered how captivating the competitive scene can be. This highlights the need for better educational content and straightforward communication about tournaments. Once viewers grasp the team rivalries, player backstories, and qualification systems, they become invested. I want to help players throughout Western Europe unlock this side of the game and feel like they can be a part of it themselves.
All Growth, No Compromise: What Lies Ahead for Janička?
ESI: Will this new responsibility alter your regular creative output? Is there any aspect of your existing content that you worry might take a backseat due to your ambassador duties, or do you view this purely as an opportunity for expansion?
Janička: I do not anticipate any decline in my existing content; rather, I expect a natural shift where esports coverage integrates smoothly with the humorous gameplay highlights my fans enjoy. This has been the most rewarding partnership of my career, and working alongside G2 is a privilege. Their backing enables me to push boundaries and design even more compelling content. Real growth is rooted in being genuine. If we ever find that our content strategy isn’t hitting the mark, I know both G2 and the game publisher will help me pivot and adapt to keep expanding our reach. This is a dream opportunity for any creator, and I am incredibly thankful for it.
ESI: Are you concerned about being pigeonholed to a single niche? Are there strict limitations on your broadcasts? Additionally, if the player base reacts negatively to future decisions by the developer, do you risk facing backlash and seeing your own channel’s growth suffer?
Janička: To me, the key is refusing to limit myself rather than worrying about external labels. I aim to remain imaginative, receptive to new ideas, and constantly challenge myself as a creator.
Naturally, there are standard contractual boundaries, but they are completely normal and in no way restrict my creative freedom or what I want to produce.
I also don’t believe my channel will be negatively impacted by community debates over development decisions. Judging by the discussions under my videos, my community is mature enough to recognize that differing viewpoints on in-game maps, features, or cosmetics are natural. It is simply impossible for developers to please every player with every update, and my audience understands that.
