When questioned, Prograis offered his viewpoint regarding a potential contest between Garcia and Benn.

“In my opinion, this would be an excellent bout, and my choice is Conor Benn. While I believe Ryan Garcia possesses superior boxing skills, should this fight materialize, I’m siding with Conor Benn,” Prograis conveyed to Fighthype.

Prograis highlighted Benn’s fighting approach as a significant element influencing his forecast.

“He’s an unrefined combatant. He’s eager to engage directly.”

The trajectory of Ryan’s career has drawn considerable conjecture following his defeat by Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero, concurrently, Benn has persisted in pursuing high-profile contests, having re-established his standing through victories against Prograis and various other prominent competitors.

Furthermore, Prograis put forth the idea that Conor might perform more proficiently at a heavier weight division, should the bout proceed.

“At 154 pounds. I believe it should be at 154,” Prograis articulated.

The former champion, now retired, remarked that Ryan’s offensive maneuvers are occasionally more predictable compared to those of numerous other adversaries.

“I observed every move approaching. That is the sole distinction. Its approach is discernable.”

The possibility of a contest between Ryan and Conor has been a recurring topic of conversation throughout the previous year, despite no formal accord being declared. Should discussions ultimately culminate in an arrangement, Prograis is of the opinion that Benn’s assertive nature and readiness to initiate engagement might sufficiently counteract Garcia’s superior technical skills.
