Spurs full-back Djed Spence is set to depart North London, as a deal has been finalized for his transfer to Inter Milan.
Following a difficult campaign with Tottenham where the team narrowly avoided relegation from the top flight, Spence unexpectedly shone at the World Cup in North America, establishing himself as one of the standout contributors during England’s journey to the semi-finals.
However, according to a report by Italian reporter Orazio Accomando of SportMediaSet, the transfer has been agreed for a fee of approximately £30 million, alongside additional performance-related add-ons.

Writing on X (previously Twitter), Accomando reported that the transfer is near completion, with Spence lined up to fill the spot vacated by Denzel Dumfries, who is headed to Real Madrid from Serie A champions Inter Milan.
The transfer materialized quite unexpectedly, as the Italian giants successfully bargained the price down from an initial valuation of £35 million.
Having had an impressive summer with the national team, it was anticipated that Spence might flourish under the guidance of Roberto De Zerbi.
The London-born full-back originally moved to Tottenham in 2022 following a successful promotional campaign in the top tier while on loan at Nottingham Forest from Middlesbrough, though he struggled to secure a regular starting position throughout his tenure in North London.
Following his arrival, he was sent on temporary stints to Rennes, Leeds United, and Genoa, eventually finding more consistent game time under Ange Postecoglou prior to earning his first of 14 international caps for England in 2025.
Capable of operating as a right wing-back or on the left side for club and country lately, the 26-year-old is set to join England colleague John Stones at the San Siro this summer, bolstering manager Cristian Chivu’s squad as they seek to retain the Scudetto title.
Reports indicate that the defender will commit to a long-term contract extending through 2031.
Tottenham are preparing for the upcoming Premier League campaign with World Cup champion Pedro Porro slated to start at right-back, while Destiny Udogie is expected to hold down the left-back spot.
