Harry Kane has accomplished an incredible feat! The striker for Bayern Munich has been honored with the 2026 Ballon d’Or, marking him as the fourth player from Bayern to achieve this on par with Gerd Müller, Franz Beckenbauer, and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge—after an exceptional season representing both his club and country.
During the 2025/26 campaign, Kane netted 73 times across 65 matches for Bayern Munich and the England national squad, contributing to Die Roten winning the Bundesliga championship, the DFB-Pokal, and the German Supercup. He is now recognized as the first English player to secure this accolade since Michael Owen back in 2001. While playing for England in the latest FIFA World Cup, he scored six times in seven matches prior to their semifinal defeat against Argentina.
Kane dedicated a significant portion of his career to Tottenham Hotspur, where he demonstrated elite footballing skills, ultimately earning the title of the club’s all-time leading scorer with 280 goals in 435 games. In 2023, he made the move to Bayern Munich with the ambition of capturing his first major trophy, which had been surprisingly elusive during his time in England. Since joining, Kane has found the net 127 times and has secured four significant trophies—two Bundesliga championships, one DFB-Pokal, and one DFL-Supercup.
